Here's the next project, weathering this Athearn 50' PC&F Evergreen Freight Car boxcar. Underside has already been completed with three colors of acrylic paint plus earth pigment to simulate built-up dirt and grime. Brake wheel and chain have also been given the rust treatment. Before this the entire car was sprayed with a flat clear coat. These cars were popular from the late 60's into the mid 70's and always seemed to accumulate dirt very easily!
I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and friends.I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I also will weather locomotives. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums.I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. Please check out my work here on my page. My price varies as to how much weathering is requested. I can also change out couplers and wheels…..
