Here is a current project for a modeler back east. This South Branch Valley car is an Athearn product. So far this model has been done with acrylic paints and flat base by Tamiya to fade the car followed by a very light dusting of Vallejo dirt acrylic. The roof has rust texture plus three colors of pigments as well as the underside, plus the truck side frames have a bit of rust texture and rust powder as well. Adding rust to the sides has commenced. More photos when finished!
I have been weathering mainly HO Scale model trains since 2009 for fellow modelers and friends.I specialize in freight cars, especially rust buckets. I also will weather locomotives. I do anything from light to heavy weathering using a variety of different mediums.I take care with models, therefore a model may take me a week plus. Please check out my work here on my page. My price varies as to how much weathering is requested. I can also change out couplers and wheels…..
