Here’s another quick project for the layout, this one is a Walther’s Mainline series car, the 53’ bulkhead flat lettered for SOO Line. The car has already been pretty thoroughly weathered including of course the underside and is currently drying from the first seal coat. Photo above shows the car out of the box while photos below show the current state:
Here was a quick project on a car I had forgotten about, stashed away in a train box! This I believe is an old AHM car, one I’ve had forever. This one I intended to keep for the layout, so it needed to be spruced up. The car was lightly sprayed with dirt acrylic paint, then weathered with powders and pigments, especially the roof. The underside was also done as usual. Only addition to the photos above were new COTS decals. Not too bad for an older car from decades ago!
This car was just finished, the third car of commission work for a modeler in South Dakota. This is a ScaleTrains car in HO scale as usual. The modeler want a moderately rusted car with texture on it , so here it is! This guy has several rust textures applied plus acrylic paints, pigments and powders plus of course graffiti decals. The underside alone has three colors of acrylics applied plus pigments for built up grime. Below are more photos of the car:

Above are photos of the next project almost finished to go on my eBay store. This guy is a Walther’s Mainline series car. The car is almost finished except for the final seal coat. The car has acrylic paints, pigments, powders, and a wash on the car plus the usual rust textures I use. Car should be on eBay tomorrow!
